The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in Beijing from July 15 to 18, 2024。
The plenary session was attended by 199 members of the Central Committee and 165 alternate members of the Central Committee。Members of the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and leading comrades of relevant departments attended the meeting as non-voting delegates。Some grass-roots comrades, experts and scholars of the Party's 20 National Congress also attended the meeting。

The plenum, in accordance with the Party Constitution, decided to replace alternate members of the Central Committee Ding Xiangqun, Yu Lijun and Yu Jihong as members of the Central Committee。
The plenum decided to accept the resignation application of Comrade Qin Gang and remove him from his post as a member of the Central Committee。
The plenum reviewed and approved the report of the CPC Central Military Commission on the serious violations of discipline and law by Li Shangfu, Li Yuchao, and Sun Jinming, and confirmed the expulsion of Li Shangfu, Li Yuchao, and Sun Jinming from the CPC as previously decided by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee。
